Hello everybody, I’m Danika Quinn of the Actors Reporter and welcome to the TradeVine where each week we share some of the entertainment articles you may have missed that we found in the trades, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, and Backstage, all of which are free on the internet. BackStage Online edition, January 12th, 2010. in the advice section, “Bad audition recovery?,” by Sarah Kuhn. Actor Elaine del Valle says, “For me, the only bad audition is the one you don’t have a chance at. The one you feel is for the perfect role for you but you just don’t get seen. We unlocked the secrets behind holograms and created a short 3D holographic film in this busy and imaginative two-day workshop. Day one began at Museum of Wellington City Sea where we saw legendary Taniwha stories told as amazing 3D holograms. After delving deeper into the Museums treasure trove of stories, we traveled to Capital E’s OnTV Studio to start making our own holographic film. We finished the day by creating a concept together, choosing costumes and then prepping for tomorrow’s filming! On day two we used green screen TV technology to create our short which we magically projected as a hologram in Mirror Magic, dazzling everyone in Wellington for two weeks!
