Samsung 3D TV without glasses

Posted: August 4th, 2011 | Author: admin | Filed under: Information About 3DTV | Tags: , , | 25 Comments »

This was on display at CES. It shows 3D video without having to wear glasses. I realize it obviously isn’t 3D on YouTube, but I thought you would all be interested in seeing what you can. Also, this is not going to go on sale any time soon, it is merely a concept right now.

I’m not sure if 3D is the future but if it is then this is the future of 3D.

@wildonrio Well, 3DS doesn’t actually have things pop out of the screen, it’s just a picture with multiple layers.

Does anyone know when this will come out?

  9. 9 theangrygimp said at 2:56 pm on August 4th, 2011:

@ptuku its a prototype of TV’s that will come out when they have the technology working right. Its a special TV that is not for sell yet.

  10. 10 theangrygimp said at 3:02 pm on August 4th, 2011:

@xxflinkxx You do realize they buy there panels from sharp and samsung right? Sony doesn’t make their own screens.

  11. 11 ptuku said at 3:53 pm on August 4th, 2011:

Can someone plz tell me if this uses a special 3d tv, ot this is a normal tv? Cuz if this is normal tv, the quality will be the half of full HD D:

  12. 12 darrenwtis said at 4:42 pm on August 4th, 2011:

@xxflinkxx king of electronics ,they are over a year behind on screens and the reason being is that they purchase screens from samsung that samsung have moved on from !

  13. 13 xxflinkxx said at 5:28 pm on August 4th, 2011:

@dangerbooboo you couldn’t be more wrong. Sony has and always been the king of electronics. Especially TVs. 1-3 quarters behind industry? you are on crack? Compare sony’s 3d glasses to anybody else’ and then tell me who is behind on the technology. Also compared sony’s LED tvs to other LED tvs and you will see obvious quality differences. Sony is also working on glasses free tv’s but until they have something worthwhile they wont bother demoing it.

@ingo98 Whatever. I’m not gonna argue with someone as fuckin stupid as you. If you learn to speak English, I’ll hear what you have to say but it wouldn’t hurt to actually check your information against consumer reports, all of which will tell you, just as @scrotzki789 said, that Sony is generally overpriced middle-of-the-road tech that’s always late to the party. I have 2 50″+ and 3 40″+ LCD TVs and 4 monitors between 19 & 24″ in my house and two of them are Sony. I can compare right on my wall.

    OH SHIT.

When it throws that ball it actually look like 3D O_O

    MUST BY WHEN CAME OUT!!!

  18. 18 scrotzki789 said at 7:20 pm on August 4th, 2011:

@ingo98 sony is generally overpriced middle of the road technology, always late to the party. samsung, however has the best quality product for the price, though it’s worth mentioning that the actual hardware is usually marred with technical issues because they cut corners to get that price. for my money, I count on samsung, but I’d recommend brushing up on soldering as I’ve had to replace about 4 capacitors since I got my last one.

sony was one of the best on the market in the days, but samsung is top of it’s game, cheaper and better quality. i used to be a sony man but thumb’s up to samsung.

I’m not spending money of a “Sweet spot” TV! How will my family watch 3D on this kind of TV?? All of us will have to sit in the direct middle of the tv.
I am happy with my samsung, the glasses dont bother me.

I mean I like the linticular 3d idea, I have a finepix 3D camera, and the 3d screen is cool, but still…. ya know.

  22. 22 applecheer276 said at 9:47 pm on August 4th, 2011:

@wildonrio nah, its the quality of the camera =P

  23. 23 dangerbooboo said at 10:20 pm on August 4th, 2011:

@ingo98 Wake up, bro. Sony has been sucking balls since like 94. Their tech is consistently 1-3 quarters behind industry leaders and they’ve been milking their “king of electronics” image from the 80′s ever since. The only good thing they’ve done in years is PlayStation.

More importantly, Samsung is one of the best brands you can buy for a lot of electronics and if they don’t outperform their peers, you can trust that they remain competitive both in tech and price.

  24. 24 ingo98 said at 10:40 pm on August 4th, 2011:

samsung is worst electronic stuff maker , phones , tvs and even harddisks suck..

    sony forever!
