Full screen-split screen with any game.

Sorry for the quality and shaky recording. Just wanted to share this thought after the sony presser. Today Sony announced a new 24 inch 3d tv at $499. They also said that people can play split-screen games full screen. The crowd applauded. I love Sony and their products. Heck I have a 40” active 3d bravia downstairs next to my stack of ps3 games, but this is already available and you don’t need $200 glasses. I picked up My passive 3d Vizio at costco for $700. Any questions?

If you play split screen online multiplayer I have to say I fucking hate you. If you just play zombies then that’s sweet.

Thank you for proving how easy this technology is, I can only imagine sony wanted to charge some silly price for special screen cheater glasses.

@StrifeXTribal I never said anything bad about Sony or this technology. And i own a 3D bravia aswell. I never made comparisons between the two, or stated that the Vizio was better.

I thought I was a PS3 fan just showing people they could do this for themselves as well. I hardly thought fanboys would get butthurt over this.

@StrifeXTribal keep sucking them off while they let all your personal info get breached 4 times every other week.
The person making the video is demonstrating to the average consumer that there isn’t a need to buy a new TV, and Sonys not pulling the wool over everyones eyes.

    Comparing a Vizio to a sony…

Sony never said that it was new or they created the tecnhology just for PS3, they just want to make an efficient deal (which I believe they have) to bring 3D to more people… I don’t understand whats wrong with this scenario?

Sony’s trying to do good and again gets blasted for something they didn’t even say. Yes this technology is around, but many don’t understand cause the average consumer is retarded. Ex. The moron that made this video.

  25. 25 Rawblivious said at 8:47 pm on June 7th, 2011:

@ukiemilitia It depends on entirely the KIND of 3D they’re using. Sony’s way doubled the frequency of a ‘normal’ television to something like 120Hz, where every other frame was from the same point of view, switching backwards and forwards between two. The two shutter glasses then work at 60Hz, out of phase from one another. Meaning that only 60 of the 120 frames per second are seen. In this video, the resolution IS halved as it’s displaying two images, simultaneously, independent of frequency.
