You can’t see it on the video, but these TVs are high-quality 3D video without the need for 3D glasses! (stands out from the television just as though you had 3D glasses on) These were the coolest things I saw at CES!

It is as much of an illusion as your own eyesight. Whether observed directly or via digital means, your eyes capture separate images whilst the brain compiles them into product which contains depth. The only difference being the origin of the imagery.

The day in the distant future a TV can do head tracking stereoscopic 3D for multiple viewers and beam the left/right video precisely to your eyes while still preserving an excellent 2D picture quality is the day we can start talking about glass-free 3D TV in the living room.
Until then autosterescopic fixed viewing angle 3D can be great for single-user small screens in mobile phones, 3D cameras, tablets and computer monitors.

The TV industry is confusing their own consumers on 3D.

it has a parallax filter to separate the eyes. only draw back is you cant get full res
back by turning off the 3d

I’m fascinated by the science of how it is doing that. Anyone have any good links that go into more detail? I’ve seen some ok ones. I’m also noticing the screens are parallel. so you must literally…OH! It must be sending you different vertical lines of pixels depending on your eyes angle to it. I bet it doesn’t work if you turn you head 90 in real life. Because then your 2 eyes would see the same vertical lines! this would explain why the camera see’s it on 2 screens too! Mimics 2 eyes.

really it does show 3d when you cross your eyes!
Go full screen, then cross your eyes so you see 6 screens in stead of 4 and then focus on the middle one, try to make it sharp.
It does hurt your eyes after a some time, but the effect is amazing!
