Are there active 3d tv glasses not running on batteries?

Can I solve this problem by just not turning on the glasses? For example, leave them without battery?

That is how active works: by opening and closing lenses to allow each image to enter your eye. You need power to do this.
The poster below recommends passive 3D, passive 3D has some advantages but you will get half vertical resolution. So a 1080p Blu-ray becomes 540p.
I wouldn’t if I were you. That will probably make the headaches worse. As far as I’m concerned, the reason you get headaches from the flickers in the first place is because your glasses don’t have enough batter. So, if you’re experiencing flickers and nausea, try recharging the glasses again. I hear that you have to recharge them after every viewing. If you’re looking for a more permanent solution, try changing your 3D TV to a passive technology one.
