Can you watch 3d movies and also be able to play 3d games via ps3 on a LCD tv ?

I was also wondering what would be the requirements in which that LCD TV would be able to have in order to give me the best 3d experience. Would it damage the tv in anyway ? and how much of a difference would it be from and actual 3d tv ?
