Yeah, Cameron is a real pioneer. The first time stereoscopic cameras were used was in 1844, and they’ve been used pretty consistently ever since, but let’s just ignore that small detail.

Ladies and Gentlemen, here is the latest box office toll WORLDWIDE for Avatar: $2,039,472,387.

James Cameron’s vision has just surpassed 2 billion in movie sales. Well done Iron Jim. I am so happy right now. I know what some of you are thinking. How arrogant, but I’m a big fan of Cameron’s work and seeing those figues just solidifies it for me. JAMES CAMERON IS AN AMAZING STORYTELLER AND DIRECTOR!! Say it with me people…”HELL YEAH, SIR!”

What the fuck do any of those movies have in comon? Eragon was awful. How can you compare Avatar to eragon?

then you do not understand. it’s not 3D like monsters and knifes jumping at you. it’s a camera that shoots every single shot in 3D technology, not in cinematic 3D, but the raw shot is actually 3D

you don’t, you just “think” you do ;)

  22. 22 eaglefan129 said at 9:35 pm on July 1st, 2010:

I personally didn’t see a huge difference the only thing to me other then when someone pointed a gun at the camera was the images and the subtles of the film when needed.

  23. 23 champus1969 said at 9:56 pm on July 1st, 2010:

guzotak, that´s an illusion of the brain. You have a dominant eye. When you just keep that eye open the brain emulates non-stereoscopic depth from your visual experience.

If you try it with a regular 2d projected movie you´ll still get a depth effect.
    ;-)

  24. 24 guzotak said at 10:24 pm on July 1st, 2010:

@champus1969 So why when I close one of my eyes I still see in 3d ? :D
