    @bayandsl Quality/price –> lcd
    If you don’t care for the money, buy a led.
    Do not buy plasma.

    @dubmywub lg it’s the E9500 model it’s also got good reviews and has local dimming and is 3d, if you want the glasses and all.

    @Iamthelaw1526 just one question, does the LG Infinia 42LE8900 have all this?

  13. 13 Iamthelaw1526 said at 12:51 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @dubmywub They are marketing scams, they use less energy and are thinner but still same picture as a high end LCD. The closest picture to a panasonic plasma is a full array LED with Local dimming like Sony XDR700 or the one you are getting is in 2nd or 3rd for LED. LG also has a very good full array Local dimming LED but I think it’s 3D.

    @Iamthelaw1526 =]
    edge lit LED’s are just as bad as lcds lol!

  15. 15 Iamthelaw1526 said at 1:54 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @dubmywub Go for it, I know it’s expensive but it does have local dimming, So you are not gonna be a sucker buying a LED TV which most don’t have the Local dim feature sold at best buy, That model I think is just a little behind Sony’s XDR700, but still good grab.

    @Iamthelaw1526 nope i spotted the Samsung UN40C7000, may go for the 55 inch version though.

    @dubmywub What model is it that you found? The Sony XBR 700 LED is the closest LED to getting panasonics G25 contrasts. Most likely your LED doesn’t even have local dimming, if not it’s just a really high end LCD.

  19. 19 dubmywub said at 3:44 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @Iamthelaw1526 and? it looks better, thats all im looking for. A tv which looks better and ive found it

  20. 20 Iamthelaw1526 said at 4:26 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @dubmywub They are set up in the shops differently, you gotta compare it side by side with similar settings , the lighting. You saw it in the store, LED/LCD’s are put on very bright and vivid settings to grab your attention and they leave plasma on a dimmed mode. It’s all about your money. In the end you are paying for marketing BS. You wanna go LED LCD, get the Sony XBR700 or 730 it’s close to plasma’s specs, full array with local dimming. Expensive though, Most LED’s sold don’t have Local dim.

  21. 21 dubmywub said at 4:46 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @Iamthelaw1526 if that makes you happy then good for you =]
    at the end of the day, i have seen LEDs and Plasmas in shops and i can safely say that LEDs look just as good if not better.

  22. 22 Iamthelaw1526 said at 5:13 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @simpleboy98 Some people just believe marketing nonsense like Sharps LED yellow garbage, all 3 primary colors are all that is needed no point to make a 4th primary color and I seen plasma’s make that Sharp LED Quattron look like a joke side by side. But people are still buying that expensive over priced LED because of those stupid yellow primary BS commercials. It’s a gimmick and it’s working on the gullable . I only recommend a LED with full array with local dimming and thats Sony XDR700.

  23. 23 Iamthelaw1526 said at 5:36 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @simpleboy98 plasma suffers from old myths because they burned images in back years ago but LCD had horrible picture and horrible blurring all over the screen. Today both technologies improved with plasma no burn in anymore, still good prices, and better picture than LED/LCD. LCD has improved with the 120hz and response times but the blur is still their just not as bad and has improved contrasts with LED sets but are expensive as hell and still not as good of panasonics plasma’s

  24. 24 simpleboy98 said at 6:11 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    @Iamthelaw1526 I agree with you I also think Plasma has a better resolution of image I don´t know why they are always saying Led kicks lcd and p´lasma’s asses

  25. 25 Iamthelaw1526 said at 6:41 pm on October 21st, 2010:

    The Best LED’s True contrast only measured at 4200:1 and that’s done from real testing, but you believe the 10 000 000 they throw on the box.
