Actor Elaine del Valle says, “For me, the only bad audition is the one you don’t have a chance at. The one you feel is for the perfect role for you but you just don’t get seen. Just the fact that you’ve made it through that door means something.” And actor Scott Kerns adds, “For me, more than trying to pump myself back up afterwards, I try to kill that little judge that sits on my shoulder. The more I just focus on my work and stay in the present, the better everything goes.” The Hollywood Reporter International Weekend edition, January 8th-10th, In the Inside Track section, “Family affair: ‘Avatar’ to FX,” by Nellie Andreeva. FX landed ad-supported cable rights to the 3D blockbuster ‘Avatar.’ ‘Avatar’ is expected to make its FX premiere in mid-2012, following the film’s home video window and run on HBO. By then, there will be at least two 3D networks, offshoots of ESPN and Discovery, raising the possibility that, if 3D technology makes the TV advances its backers hope for, ‘Avatar’ could be shown on FX as envisioned by James Cameron.
